The goalkeeper continues to recover from the accident he suffered on May 28, when a horse hit him on the head. Her wife, Alba Silva, has become his best nurse and has shared a tender image on social networks with her husband: “It’s not where but with whom.”

The photograph shows the hands of both intertwined, a symbolic image of what these last weeks have been for Alba, who has not been separated from her husband for a second. He rests in the hospital bed while she watches over her sleep from the chair. A few days ago, it was Rico himself who accessed social networks for the first time since the accident to thank all his friends and family for the love and support: “I wanted to thank each and every one of the people who have shown me and sent their love in these difficult days. I continue working on my recovery that is getting better every day.”

These have been very difficult months for the family, as the first diagnosis of the PSG goalkeeper was not encouraging. Fortunately, Rico is recovering by leaps and bounds: “Now I will be with him for 24 hours,” said his wife when Sergio left the ICU and was transferred to the plant: “I am one hundred percent dedicated: that is the greatest thing and we are very happy.”
