This provision was for two reasons: firstly, some of the requirements were related to activities severely affected by the pandemic; and secondly, because the economic consequences of the health emergency constituted in themselves a justified cause to support the member associations at a time of financial crisis.

Since the adoption of these measures, the FIFA administration has remained in contact with the associations to closely monitor your recovery from the pandemicboth from a sporting and economic point of view.

Although the effects of the health crisis are beginning to fade in many areas of the world and given that the economic situation of the 211 FIFA member federations is not uniform; the highest body in world football has decided to maintain the second installment for all of them, amounting to 466,000 euros. Among them is the Spanish Football Association. This represents a total of 105 million dollars (98 million euros).

Consequently, FIFA will distribute the entirety of the second payment to finance the operating expenses this year from July 2022provided that the member federations answer an online survey about their football activities and where they must have a detailed and clear idea of the situation of each federation. Survey that must be sent before June 30 so that FIFA can start paying the funds without delay in July 2022.
