MADRID, 30 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The International Football Federation (FIFA) has confirmed receipt of an “independent legal assessment” regarding proposals made by the Palestinian Football Association (PFA) against the Israel Football Association (IFA) due to the ongoing Israeli military war in the Gaza Strip.
“This assessment will be sent to the FIFA Council for review so that the matter can be discussed at its next meeting, which will take place in October,” the governing body of international football said on Friday via social media X.
In its brief message, FIFA thanked both associations “for their continued support and cooperation” on such a sensitive issue. In this regard, the Palestinian Association submitted a proposal to FIFA last May to suspend the Israeli Association from all competitions.
