LONDON, Dec. 9 (dpa/EP) –

Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands; Brazil; and the United States and Mexico have presented their candidacies to organize the 2027 Women's Soccer World Cup.

Thus, FIFA received one single and two joint bids before Friday's deadline. “Following the unprecedented success of the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup, the bidding process for the 2027 edition of the tournament has reached a key milestone,” the organization said in a statement.

“As part of the most robust and comprehensive bidding process in the history of the Women's World Cup, FIFA will now carry out a thorough evaluation process, which will include on-site inspection visits to be launched in February 2024, before to publish its conclusions in a candidacy evaluation report in May 2024,” he continued.

The winning bid will be decided by vote at the FIFA Congress in Bangkok on May 17, 2024. The United States hosted the tournament in 1999 and 2003, and Germany also hosted the tournament in 2011.
