FIFA Preparing To Announce Musical Performers For The Qatar 2022 Opening Ceremony

The Opening Ceremony, always one of the most anticipated parts of each World Cup, is drawing ever closer. This year is no exception. The event is scheduled to take place in Qatar 2022 on Sunday, November 20, at 19:00 local time at the Al Bayt Stadium in the city of Jor. 

Although it is not yet officially known who the singers will be, FIFA is planning to officially confirm the participation of the band BTS, and a number of different media outlets have reported that Shakira may perform once more during the opening ceremony. 

According to Total Reporter, the Colombian singer will be one of the performers on the opening stage of the World Cup with Dua Lipa and the members of BTS, who will be making their stage debut at the opening ceremony of the World Cup. The singer known for her hit song “Waka Waka” would not be performing on stage by herself; instead, she would be joined by two other musicians who are currently enjoying success all over the world: the British singer Dua Lipa and the Korean pop group BTS.
