FIFA maintains five substitutions for next season

The FIFA has announced this Wednesday the decision of keep the five substitution rule until July 31, 2021, so it will be valid throughout the next season. The highest international body specifies that for international tournaments all five changes will be allowed during a match until August 31.

In this way, the measure adopted in the middle of the competitions by the pandemic of the COVID-19 in order to favor the greater rest of the soccer players as soon as the tournaments are resumed will be maintained throughout the next soccer course.

The course of the coronavirus pandemic, which in many countries is experiencing a regrowth of cases, he has advised FIFA to bet on prudence. And it is in this sense that its rectors have given their approval to the extension of a measure that in principle was in force only until the end of this course.
