Fidel trusts in the professionalism and competitiveness of Valencia

The midfielder of Elche Fidel Chaves this Thursday showed its total confidence in the professionalism and competitiveness of the Valencia and was convinced that the team Mestalla will go to win his match against him Huesca, direct rival in the permanence of the Elche team, despite not playing anything.

“If I were in the shoes of Valencia, I would win, which is what they are going to do. They are one of the biggest teams in Spain and they have proven it for years. Then, whatever has to happen will happen ”, argued the Huelva player.

To achieve permanence, Elche needs to beat Athletic Club and that Huesca does not do it against Valencia, although there are also other less likely salvation options that involve other teams.

Fidel reiterated his confidence in a “team of the quality of Valencia” and recalled that this season that rivals who play a lot have not been able to beat others who do not play at all, “such as Huesca against Cádiz or Barcelona against Levante ”.

The Andalusian player, despite appreciating the importance of what happens in Huesca, recalled that Elche must focus on their game and appreciated that the team has managed to overcome the “very hard blow” that lost to Alavés.

The Huelva-born man avoided speculating on possible premiums to third parties and pointed out that “the issue of briefcases has been under control for a long time.” “We have to avoid these topics because they happen less than what is talked about, he explained.

Fidel played down the controversy with Dani Calvo, whom he praised for his commitment to the entity, and confessed that he is one of the players who, in a day like the one that is coming, likes to be aware of what is happening in other fields.

The player assured that, despite missing a penalty against Atlético in injury time, he would accept “without hesitation” to launch a maximum penalty the next day in the same circumstances and risking permanence.

The footballer, who acknowledged that he was experiencing his best season in the First Division, warned of the quality of Athletic Club, of which he stressed that something touched has come at the end of the season after losing the two Cup finals.

“It is an intense team, tough and with decisive players at the top. We will have to play a very good game to beat them ”, concluded the man from Huelva.
