Ferro beats Kontaveit and achieves his second title

French Fiona Ferro, number 53 of the world at the beginning of the week, achieved his second title this Sunday WTA by winning in its second final, the tournament in Palermo (Italy), to Estonian Anett Kontaveit, 22 in the world and who started as fourth head serial.

Ferro, 23, premiered its record in July of last year in the Lausanne tournament (Switzerland), category 'International', and this Sunday won her second WTA final by beating Kontaveit, 22, by 6-2 and 7-5 in an hour and 45 minutes.

The French, who this Monday will enter the Top-50 for the first time of the world rankings, he scored the first command after breaking two times the service of his rival. In the second set, more even, both players achieved two 'breaks' and it seemed that it would be resolved in the tiebreaker, but a new break by Ferro in the eleventh game ended up unbalancing the balance on her side.

Kontaveit, a quarter-finalist this year at the Australian Open (fell against Romanian Simona Halep), she still has no luck in the finals. He has played six and only won one, in June 2017 in Rosmalen (Countries Low) in two sets against the Russian Natalia Vikhlyantseva.
