David Ferrer is back at Roland Garros. The one from Jávea returns to Paris but this time he will do it from the other side of the track as coach of recent US Open finalist Alexander Zverev.
Ferrer, a finalist at Roland Garros in 2013, appeared alongside Zverev this Wednesday on center court Philippe Chatrier, in which the German had his first contact with Parisian clay. The official Roland Garros Twitter account celebrated Ferrer's return: “How nice to see you again”
The Alicante, an expert on clay, hopes to help Zverev at the Parisian Grand Slam fight for his first big after not being able to be with him in the bubble of the US Open, where Zverev was one step away from glory.
The practice session this Wednesday also left us another beautiful image on the Philippe Chatrier track since, after Zverev's training, Stan Wawrinka and Andy Murray, two of the tennis players who have managed to win a Grand Slam in the Big Three era, took to the court.
Thus Wawrinka and Murray reissued the duel that both starred in the 2017 semifinals, when Wawrinka beat Murray in five sets, although Rafa Nadal deprived him of his second Roland Garros in the final.
