Fernando Torres continues to command Juvenil A: “For us, Atleti is like life”

MADRID, 14 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Atlético de Madrid’s Juvenil A will continue to be led next season by a Fernando Torres who hopes to repeat the good results and help some boys with the dream of reaching the first team, “the goal” that everyone has, grow.

“Very happy to continue in my house and to be able to repeat in Juvenil A that it has been a wonderful experience and to learn from the players, who are the ones who make us improve, grow as coaches, as people, and once again create a group of good guys, competitive, who have that dream of reaching the first team one day,” he says in an interview this Thursday.

The ‘Niño’, a legend as an ‘rojiblanco’ player, repeats his experience in the Atlético academy that he takes as a way of life. “I have always thought that once I retired and decided to start training as a coach there was no better place than to start doing it at home. Simply, do my bit, but above all learning a lot, with great professionals in all departments” , points to the club’s media.

“For us, Atleti is like life. Believing in what is done, dreaming of what can be achieved, there is nothing more similar to life than being at Atlético, working at Atlético, living it at Atlético because it suits you to serve later to deal with any situation you have on a personal level”, he adds.

Juvenil A will face the challenge of repeating the successes achieved the previous season, with the league title in group 5 of the Division of Honor and present in the ‘Final Four’ of the UEFA Youth League. “Very involved in collaborating, learning, demanding to see the boys one day in the first team, which is the goal we all have,” confesses Torres.

“We try to convey that the culture of effort is what leads you to achieve the goals. This is about people, they have realized that when they are a group they can compete with anyone. We hope to find the key with this new generation to achieve the same results”, he ends.
