Fernando Alonso: “I go out through the dirty part, we will have to defend ourselves”

MADRID, 30 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Spanish driver Fernando Alonso (Alpine) celebrated the “great result” of his team in the qualifying day of the Hungarian Grand Prix, after which the Spaniard will start sixth, “on the dirty side”, so he will have to “defend himself “.

“The goal was to be in the top ten and we achieved it with some ease in Q2. Being fifth and sixth is a great result,” the Spaniard applauded in statements to Dazn.

The Asturian had to settle for sixth place after a somewhat discreet Q3, surpassed by his teammates, Esteban Ocon, although ahead of Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes).

“It will be difficult to overtake, we will see what we can do. I start on the dirty part, so we will have to defend ourselves, there is also a forecast of rain, we will be attentive,” Alonso concluded.
