“I am very excited about this opportunity because thanks to Ducati I will be able to achieve the dream that I have been pursuing since I was little: the time has come to take the big leap and be with the best in the world. Furthermore, I will do it with the best bike on the grid, with the Desmosedici GP that has two world titles in a row and has shown that it adapts to any situation,” said Aldeguer.

In addition, he thanked the “trust” of those who have trusted him until now. “I want to thank Ducati and Gigi Dall’Igna for the trust they have placed in me since the first day we started talking, to Luca Boscoscuro for everything we have experienced and what we have left this year together and also to my family, my manager Héctor Faubel and everyone who has helped me in one way or another to get here,” he said.

“Now that I know what my future will be, it is time to focus on this season where I still have a great challenge in Moto2. I will give everything to leave the category with my head held high and the best possible results before facing the great challenge that lies ahead. means being in MotoGP,” he explained.

The 18-year-old from La Ñora made his debut in the World Championship in 2021 directly in Moto2 with a twelfth place in the Italian Grand Prix. In 2022, he competed in his first full season in the intermediate category and last year he won his first race, finishing the World Championship in third position with five victories, seven podiums and three poles.

Ducati General Manager, Luigi Dall’Igna, gave a “warm welcome” to the Spaniard. “We can’t wait to see him on the Desmosedici GP. I am very happy with this agreement because Aldeguer is one of the strongest riders of the new generation of the World Championship. In recent years we have followed his evolution and last season he showed incredible speed. He is a very young boy with fantastic potential and characteristics to do well and we will give him all the technical support to make him grow,” he concluded.
