The king traveled this Wednesday to the Sevillian town of Lebrija to celebrate the 5th centenary of the death of the humanist Elio Antonio de Nebrija. Felipe VI enjoyed a warm welcome from the neighbors, some so excited by the presence of the monarch that they were not satisfied with shaking hands: “Can you give me a little kiss?”a lady asked. “No, I can’t do that”he told her between laughs.

The visit, which he made without the Queen Letizia, was a real mass bath for Felipe VI, who enjoyed the affection and grace of the Sevillians. They all stopped their activities to go outside and he, grateful, greeted them and took a photo with them. After finishing the official visit, the king recharged batteries in a well-known restaurant in the area, Venta Esteban, which was notified just 40 minutes before his arrival.
