The Casa del Rey is immersed in the preparations for the flight of Felipe VI and Doña Letizia to London, where they will attend the funeral of Isabel II on Monday 19. These are the details of the trip: “The King and Queen will travel on Sunday the 18th on an official Spanish Air Force flight together with Her Majesty Queen Sofia, accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, José Manuel Albares. During their stay in London, Their Majesties the King and Queen will stay at the residence of the Ambassador of Spain”, inform official sources.

In addition, according to the note, “according to logistical and organizational reasons”, Queen Sofia “will stay in the same hotel in which Her Majesty King Juan Carlos does so”. Once the state funeral is over, Don Felipe “will return to Madrid together with Queen Sofía. Doña Letizia will travel directly from London to New York to start the activities scheduled on her official agenda on Tuesday the 20th,” the note concludes.

Even so, from Casa Real, they point out that they do not currently have “details on the distribution and location of authorities during the state funeral.” In this sense, “all organizational and protocol aspects” of Elizabeth II’s funeral correspond “exclusively to the British authorities.”
