Felipe VI and Doña Letizia, having dinner with their daughters and Queen Sofía in Palma

Don Felipe has been the protagonist of an evening in which he has celebrated, as a family, his second place in the Copa del Rey de Vela. Minutes after the awards ceremony, held this Saturday in ses Voltes as the culmination of the great regatta, the King, Queen, their daughters, Doña Sofía and Princess Irene, accompanied by the Fruchaud Radziwill couple, have been seen in a restaurant in recently inaugurated, ‘Mía’, located in Portixol.

After sharing a table and tablecloth, everyone left the establishment wearing their best smiles and flaunting the good harmony that exists, especially Doña Letizia, her mother-in-law, her daughters and Princess Irene. A few minutes after leaving the premises, the kings have been the focus of all eyes when Doña Letizia has grabbed Don Felipe and has given him a look full of complicity.

Once outside, it has been when one of the most anticipated images of this summer season has been produced: that of Queen Sofía with her granddaughters, the Princess of Asturias and Infanta Sofía. Like a proud grandmother, she has posed with the two young women who held her arms with great affection, while Doña Letizia walked hand in hand with Princess Irene of Greece.

It has attracted attention that grandmother and granddaughters have chosen a similar ‘outfit’ with long summer dresses and espadrilles. In contrast, Queen Letizia has flaunted her tan in a midi dress and jeweled flat sandals, a perfect look for a family dinner in Palma.

A tradition

It is becoming a tradition that every summer, after the delivery of the Copa del Rey sailing trophies, Don Felipe, his family and some friends celebrate an informal dinner in a Palma restaurant as part of their vacations on the Island.

Specifically, the King and Queen, their daughters, Queen Sofía and her sister, Irene of Greece, enjoyed the cuisine of Mallorcan restaurateur Guillermo Cabot, who a few weeks ago opened the Mia restaurant in the Portitxol area.

Don Felipe he arrived at the restaurant just five minutes after the rest of his family. He had just said goodbye in ses Voltes to the authorities present at the Copa del Rey awards ceremony and the organization of the event.

El Monarca and his guests were received by Guillermo Cabot at the entrance of his new restaurant. The well-known Mallorcan businessman and restaurateur had already run the Ola de Mar for a decade. The dishes most requested by diners are usually high-quality fresh fish, although their salads are well-known, and they also occupy a special place on the menu at Mia, Guillermo Cabot’s brand new establishment, located in one of the best areas Palm.
