Felipe Reyes, Lydia Valentín and Álex Corretja, sports leaders at the VI Costa Cálida Sport Business Congress

MADRID, 8 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Former athletes Felipe Reyes, Lydia Valentín, Álex Corretja and Javier Clemente will participate this Thursday in the sixth edition of the Costa Cálida Sport Business Congress, which from the Teatro Circo de Murcia will focus on the “potential of sport as a driver of tourism” and as “driver of sustainability and innovation” throughout the Region.

According to the organizers’ press release, the event will have the presence of personalities linked to the world of women’s and men’s sports, and also with companies such as Votum World to “promote” sport in Murcia with fundamental aspects for “the development regional and job creation”.

Lydia Valentín, triple Olympic medalist in weightlifting, will share “experiences and skills” through interviews with Javier Clemente, former soccer player and coach; with Felipe Reyes, world and European basketball champion; and with Álex Corretja, former tennis player and former captain of the Spanish Davis Cup team.

This congress will include presentations, round tables, networking with companies and the delivery of the Sportsmanship Awards. The first round table will deal with sport as a tool for tourism promotion, where different sector specialists will discuss how sport can “enhance and transform” this area.

The second round table will address innovation in sport, where experts will meet to reflect on the latest “trends and technological advances.” Votum World, a Murcian biotechnological start-up that has designed “alternatives for people’s health and well-being” in the national CBD market, will participate in this table.

Alejandro Martí, co-founder and co-CEO of Votum World, has described this conference as the “opportunity to share” his “cutting-edge formulas” to teach how within his company “they can contribute to sports performance and personal care.”

“We are focused on highlighting the use of CBD along with other cannabinoids and its impact on sports health, since we firmly believe that sports innovation and well-being go hand in hand,” Martí finally added.
