FC Andorra beat Sabadell at home

Sabadell could not beat Andorra, who won 2-1 during the match held this Sunday at the Estadi Nacional. FC Andorra arrived with the intention of reaping a new victory after winning the last two games of the competition. The most recent was against At. Sanluqueño at home (1-2) and the other against RM Castilla at home (2-1). As for the visiting team, Sabadell won their last two matches in the competition against Sevilla At. in their stadium and Betis Deportivo away from home, by 1-0 and 0-4 respectively and accumulated four consecutive victories in the competition. After the match, the local team was the leader of the First RFEF, while Sabadell was in sixth place at the end of the match.

The first team to score was FC Andorra, who took advantage of the play to open the scoring through a goal from Carlitos in the 10th minute. The Andorran eleven scored again in the 30th minute with a goal from Fernandez. But later the Sabadell team came closer on the scoreboard thanks to a goal from Aguza near the end, in minute 41, thus ending the first period with the score of 2-1.

Neither team managed to score in the second half, so the match ended 2-1.

Andorra’s coach, Eder Sarabia, brought Sergio Molina, Hevel, Roger Riera, David Martín and Rubén Enri onto the pitch to replace Aguado, Zourdine Thior, Riverola, Morer and Carlitos, while Pedro Munitis replaced Sabadell. Alfred Planas, Altimira, Boniquet and Néstor for Iago, Óscar Rubio, Aarón Rey and Kaxe.

The referee sanctioned four players with a yellow card, three for the locals and one for the visitors. On the part of the locals the card went to Fernandez, Vilanova and Rubén Enri and on the part of the visitors to Aguza.

With 64 points, Eder Sarabia’s FC Andorra continues as the leader of the competition, occupying a place for direct promotion to the Second Division, while the team led by Pedro Munitis was in sixth place with 49 points.

The next match of the First RFEF for FC Andorra is against Betis Deportivo, while Sabadell will face Gimnàstic Tarragona.
