Fátima Gálvez, bronze in the European shooting competition

MADRID, 24 Sep. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Spanish Fátima Gálvez returned to the continental podium this Sunday by taking bronze in the European Clay Pigeon Shooting Championships held in Osijek (Croatia), behind the Portuguese Maria Inés Coelho De Barros and the Italian Silvana Stanco.

Gálvez added his ninth European medal, another bronze in the pit like the one two years ago also in Osijek. The Olympic mixed pit champion entered the Croatian final with a score of 118, the same as her rivals, but in the medal fight she came in third.

The Cordoban woman could not beat Coelho or Stanco, and the Portuguese was later the European champion against the Italian. Gálvez did not need the Olympic ticket that the event distributed since she was already qualified for the Paris 2024 Games.
