Fair Play tribute to Saúl, the boy who died on Neptune

The happiness of Atlético for the achievement of the league title on Saturday was great but it can never be complete. It was clouded by a tragic event, a terrible loss that same day: that of Saúl, a 15-year-old boy who went with his relatives to Neptune to celebrate the title garter belt and died in an unfortunate accident. It was in the nearby Santa Ana parking lot, by sticking his head out the window and hitting it. When hours later Koke went to the fountain at 04:00 in the morning, to place the scarf on Neptune as the first red-and-white captain, he added a black crepe, in his memory. Today who will honor him will be his own club, the Fair Play Parla, where Saúl played in the Infantil A team.

The Fair Play Parla, chaired by Ramón Torres, still dismayed by the news, will offer a heartfelt and emotional memory in an act this afternoon at the Alfredo Di Stéfano Complex (Avenida Las Américas, s / n, Parla) at 7:30 p.m. A tribute that will be attended by all his teammates in the Infantile team, who will draw a '13' on the grass, their age. There will be his twin brother, Iker, who was traveling with him in the van at the time of the accident, local authorities and all club employees. It will also have the presence of a violinist because little Saúl, in addition to loving football and Atleti above all things (he was going to Neptuno to celebrate not only that Cholo's men had won LaLiga, but also he, his team, the Infantil A del Fair Play Parla), loved and studied music.

Half-mast flag at the Wanda Metropolitano

Since the tragic event was known, the same afternoon as the rojiblancas celebrations, there have been many messages of condolences and condolences to the child's family. “Terrible misfortune that takes a member of the great red-and-white family from us. Our heart goes out to him and his family and friends“, wielded Enrique Cerezo, president of Atlético, in the celebrations. The giant flag that flies at the foot of the rojiblanco stadium, in fact, has done so at half mast from that moment in his memory. The Torrejón de la Calzada City Council, the town where the young man's family lives, has decreed three days of official mourning, from Sunday until today and suspended all its official acts.
