Fabio Carvalho completes his transfer to Liverpool

MADRID, 3 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Liverpool completed this Sunday the signing of Portuguese midfielder Fabio Carvalho, who arrives from Fulham and joins the ‘reds’ signings of Uruguayan Darwin Núñez and Scottish Calvin Ramsay.

“It’s an amazing feeling to be here, at one of the biggest clubs in the world, if not the biggest. Once you hear that Liverpool are interested, there’s only one thought in your mind, which is to join them. Hopefully I can achieve great things”, explained Carvalho to ‘liverpoolfc.com’ in his first interview.

The 19-year-old Portugal Under-21 international was instrumental in Fulham’s return to the Premier League, in a campaign in which he contributed 10 goals and eight assists.

Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp was enthusiastic about the new addition. “” What a talent he has, huh? He is a player who can build a stadium. He puts his personality into his performances, he is confident and fearless on the ball. He is versatile and a great attacking threat with the creativity and dynamism of him,” he stressed.

“It goes without saying, but you have to remember that he will need patience. It is a step forward, but we know he is more than capable of doing it. He will have the perfect environment to learn and develop and a dressing room full of the best ‘teachers’ in football, that will help him settle down and adapt,” he concluded.
