Debuting with Grêmio when he was just 18 years old, ‘Cebolinha’, as he was affectionately nicknamed, gradually established himself as the future of Brazilian football. Everton is that paddock player of which there are few in football. In Brazil he was the key player to make Neymar forget due to the similarity of his profiles. Two band players, right-handed and dribbling. With Grêmio he won five titles, among them the Libertadores of 2017 and the Recopa Sudamericana of 2018, he scored 69 goals and distributed 19 assists in 279 games.

However, the culmination of his South American stage would come from the hand of the Brazilian team. Éverton had the arduous task of making Neymar forget in the Copa América 2019, after the injury of the PSG star. The winger had a prominent role in Tite’s squad, where he started in all the games and scored 3 goals that earned the title at the ‘canarinha‘.

Éverton landed in Lisbon in August 2020 as one of the brand new signings of the summer for the ‘Eagles from Grêmio for 20 million euros. In these 19 months in the Portuguese capital, ‘Cebolinha’ has managed to score 16 goals and distribute 16 assists in 86 games.

How does Everton play?

Everton’s natural position is on the left wing. The Ceará He is a very unbalanced player from the midfield forward, always with changes of pace taking advantage of his top speed, throwing diagonals and breaking supports to enter the rival area. One of his strengths is his quick reading of the game, almost always being in the right place to guarantee the width of the team on the counterattack. Its completion is of authentic ‘killer‘, where his coldness stands out when it comes to finishing off one-for-one when he is in front of the goalkeeper.
