Espanyol’s golden comeback at Mestalla

Espanyol finally achieved their first away win in LaLiga this Friday. And he did it in a big way in a difficult field like Mestalla and after tracing the initial goal of Valencian Alderete. He did it with a golden comeback, a heroic comeback cooked in just four minutes thanks to the penalty converted by RDT (84 ‘) and Puado’s goal (88’). A highly celebrated victory by the Catalan team, the best gift to close the year on New Year’s Eve, a hard-fought comeback where Vicente Moreno’s changes were decisive to turn the tables: Puado scored and saved the tie and Jofre Carreras intervened in the two so many parakeets, caused the penalty and assisted Puado in the second.

Vicente Moreno shook the eleven compared to the one seen in Balaídos before the Christmas break, a match to be forgotten. Loren, Keidi Bare and Nico Melamed were the novelties, while Bordalás also moved his eleven due to accumulated losses.

Valencia came out in a whirlwind, pressing the ball out of the parrots, who cost God and help triangular with discretion. The che were in command, but Espanyol defended itself with order and little by little, it began to scratch the counter.

Despite everything, the first and only clear chance of the first 45 minutes was ‘che’. In the 9th minute, Hugo Duro headed off the post after a great cross from Helder Costa, which left Pedrosa sitting. Valencia was the owner of the game, scaring every time he stepped on the blue and white area, but little by little Espanyol began to grow, lacking greater presence and prominence from Loren and, above all, from Embarba, to which nothing came out. But RDT and Pedrosa’s internships brought some danger to the che area, although Espanyol went to rest without having kicked between the three sticks. Guedes (17 ‘) and RDT (33’) gave war but without hit or hit.

The second part started explosive. At ten seconds, De Tomás deserved the goal but Cillessen hindered the striker who shot wide to make a good first cross from Loren. THE BEST The faith of Espanyol believing in the comeback in the final stretch and the changes of Vicente Moreno
WORST Espanyol needs Embarba to recover its best version to look at the European zone

In minute 51 ‘a great cross from Helder Costa was topped off by Alderete, who entered like a motorcycle, with a brutal header to make it 1-0, just a reward for a Valencia that had bitten more and better.

Vicente Moreno moved the bench and sat a sterile Embarba, giving entry to Puado. Espanyol sought a draw and put a fence around a Valencia who played to see them come, comfortable because he continued to fight against. Meanwhile, the Catalans wanted to but could not, very pressured and with a lack of ideas and resources at the top.

Dimata and Óscar Gil came out, looking for Vicente Moreno solutions on the bench to be able to scratch Mestalla’s booty. The duel heated up with Valencia cooling down a game with many losses and fouls against an accelerated Espanyol, overturned but without a ‘punch’. Puado, one of the best in the second half, had the equalizer with a tight shot that licked the left stick. There is still a lot …

Espanyol turned the score around in just four minutes (from 84 ‘to 88’) thanks above all to the changes made by Vicente Moreno. They jumped to the green Puado and the young Jofre Carreras and between the two they cooked the triumph.

First in 82 ‘Jofre Carreras went like a bullet and Hugo Duro stepped on him in the area, making him fall. Book penalty and second yellow for Duro, who went to the shower earlier. Tomás was the monkey of ‘boss’ and transformed the maximum penalty, putting the 1-1 (84′).

Espanyol had not said the last word because in 88 ‘Puado took a great header to complete the assistance of Jofre and sign the 1-2. Valencia did not lower their guard in a crazed end and had the tie in Iranzo’s boots but first the crossbar and then Puado, shot by Cheryschev, scored the tie.
