Espanyol travels to Solares without RdT and with five from the subsidiary

Vicente Moreno had warned in the press conference two hours before the start of training that there were several players who were in discomfort and that there could not be excess calls from the subsidiary due to the regulations of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF). And the list strictly complied with the comments of the coach, who gave rest to some starters and led a competitive group to get a pass to the next round.

The most substantial news are the casualties of Raúl de Tomás, Adrián Embarba, Diego López and Leandro Cabrera, four untouchables, headlines without going any further against Real Sociedad. The absence of the goal is as logical as that of the central, who has played everything. RdT ended with discomfort in an ankle and Embarba in one knee, so both will rest to visit Vallecas on Sunday, a sentimental reunion for both. They were happy there as they are now at Espanyol.

Apart from these rotations, for other reasons, David López, Nany Dimata and Álvaro Vadillo, who did not train, nor an Óscar Gil who is still out, have not been able to recover in time. The full squad list is made up of 22 players: Oier Olazábal, Miguel Llambrich, Adrià Pedrosa, Fernando Calero, Manu Morlanes, Wu Lei, Fran Mérida, Javi Puado, Sergi Darder, Óscar Melendo, Loren Morón, Dídac Vilà, Keidi Bare, Nico Melamed, Aleix Vidal, Sergi Gómez, Yangel Herrera , Max Svensson, Álvaro García, Joan García, Roger Martínez and Rubén Sánchez.

These last five belong to the subsidiary, and some of them have options, such as Joan García (Moreno will have to decide which goalkeeper plays the Cup) or Max, taking into account that neither Dimata nor RdT will be cited. The starting team will have players from the first team, of which some, such as Miguelón, Calero, Dídac or Fran Mérida, They have hardly had a leading role in the national championship for different reasons. And they should now have in Solares, in Cantabria, in a Cup that starts for Espanyol in a picturesque place with the aroma of authentic football.
