Espanyol improves month by month

As if a diesel engine were the one that boosted your energies, Espanyol has been optimizing its benefits as LaLiga progressed, in a baggage of results very marked by sections between stop and stop due to international commitments. The pattern, rather than responding to that of a newly promoted team that leaves adapting to category, It is equivalent to that of a players-technical gear that only time is perfecting.

Thus, in each of the three approximate months that they have been in the league, Vicente Moreno’s squad has gradually obtained more points. With only two in three days, the first leg of August was settled –The 0-0 against Osasuna and Villarreal, plus the painful 1-0 in Mallorca–. Of that 22 percent of the points more than doubled, the 46 percent, in September and the first week of October, with seven of the 15 points at stake: they beat Alavés (1-0) and Real Madrid (2-1), drew against Betis (2-2) and lost against Atlético (1-2) and Sevilla (2-0).

La Liga Santander

* Data updated as of November 8, 2021

This last month, the one that goes from mid-October to the first week of November, Espanyol has settled it with a partial even greater, 53 percent correct, thanks to the victory last Saturday against Granada (2-0), the victory against Cádiz (2-0), the draws with Elche (2-2) and Athletic Club (1-1) and despite the defeat in Getafe (2-1). Are eight points out of 15 possible and practically half of those that Espanyol accumulates in this League: 17 in total.

After the current national team stoppage, Espanyol succeeds a longer stretch, with fewer weekly matches, but with the same number of encounters before the competition stops again, in this case for Christmas.

The parakeets will first visit the Barcelona (on Saturday the 20th, at 9:00 p.m.), then they will receive at Real society (Sunday 28, at 16:15), to continue in December against Vallecano Ray and Celtic at home, plus the Levante at home. If this escalation of points continues, section by section, Espanyol 2021 would end much closer to Europe than to the descent.
