MADRID, 12 Mar. (EUROPA PRESS) –
RCD Espanyol dismissed Luis Miguel Ramis as coach of the first team this Tuesday, after stringing together two draws and adding one defeat in the last six games, and “with the sole and clear objective of achieving promotion” to LaLiga EA Sports, according to a statement.
“RCD Espanyol has decided to end Luis Miguel Ramis’ time as coach of the blue and white first team. The dynamics of the first team in the last days of the competition have led the club’s Board of Directors to make this decision with the sole and clear goal of achieving promotion to the First Division,” the entity reported on its website.
The Catalan team is third, in ‘Playoff’ positions for promotion to ‘First’ with 49 points, four behind the leader. Ramis’s men have had two draws, the last one (1-1) against a relegating Alcorcón, a result that ended up liquidating the project led by the Tarragona native.
The club thanked Ramis for “the effort and involvement” on the blue and white bench “since he took charge of the first team management.” “The entity wishes him the best of luck in his future professional and personal challenges,” the statement added.
