MADRID, 3 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Romanian center Emanuel Cate will leave UCAM Murcia after four seasons and will play next season at Cluj Napoca in Romania, the university club confirmed this Sunday.

The 24-year-old from Bucharest joined the Real Madrid junior team in the 2013-14 academic year, in which he was proclaimed champion of Spain in the category. In 2015, he was loaned to CB Sevilla and, after a spell at Club Bàsquet Prat, he moved to Murcia in 2018.

In total, Cate has played four seasons with the Murcian team, in which she has played 125 games in the Endesa League and 16 in the ‘Basketball Champions League’.

“The entity chaired by Mr. José Luis Mendoza Pérez wants to thank him for his commitment and professionalism during his stay in Murcia, as well as wishing him the best of luck in his new stage,” said UCAM Murcia.
