The Australian model, who turned 60 last February, has published her memoirs. This Tuesday, she shares with her followers the first image of her book and a preview of what the reader will find in its pages: “This open-hearted book reveals the real-life experiences that empowered Elle to overcome challenges, illnesses and internal conflicts.” One of them, the most important in Elle’s life, is the fact that she is the most successful woman in the world. Elle Macphersontook place seven years ago, when the top model was diagnosed with breast cancer that was not disclosed to the press: “It was a shock.”
As she herself recounts in the chapter ‘Don’t sweat the small stuff’, only her closest circle was aware of the disease and her fight against it: “It was unexpected, it was confusing, it was discouraging in many ways and it really gave me the opportunity to dig deep into my inner sense to find a solution that would work for me.”And in this same chapter, Elle confesses that after visiting 32 specialists who recommended that she undergo chemotherapy, she rejected conventional treatments to overcome her cancer: “I opted for an intuitive, holistic, heart-guided approach.”
Macpherson, who had already declared her rejection of vaccines years ago, retreated to a beach in Miami to pray, meditate and be guided by her family doctor, who specializes in integrative medicine, based on a combination of therapies and lifestyle changes. “I chose a holistic approach. Saying no to standard medical solutions was the hardest thing I have ever done in my life. But saying no to my own inner sense would have been even harder,” says the Australian.
She acknowledges, however, that many of her family and friends did not agree with her decision and reveals that Olivia Newton-John, who died in 2020 from this same disease, was a great support for her: “We spoke a couple of times when I was diagnosed and during our healing process. We did things differently, but we shared how we felt.” Today, as he has stated to Women’s WeeklyThe model is in “clinical remission” with respect to her illness and feels “well.”
Divorced in 2017 from billionaire businessman Jeffrey Soffer, Elle is currently in a relationship with musician Doyle Bramhall, whom she began dating two years ago. The Australian, nicknamed ‘The Body’ for her perfect measurements, is the mother of two children, Flyn and Aurelius Cy, from her marriage to French millionaire Arpad Busson, from whom she separated in 2005 after nine years together, although they never got married.
