Elche sign Pablo Piatti

Surprise at Martínez Valero and not because of the match between Sevilla and Elche, but because of what happened in the offices a few minutes after the start of the match: Pablo Piatti is already a new Elche player. The Argentine returns to LaLiga to join the Elche discipline to contribute experience and goals and will help Escribá's team to try to achieve permanence.

Piatti, who was without a team after his experience in MLS, at Toronto FC, accumulates 294 matches in First Division. The attacker went through Almería, Valencia and Espanyol. In total, he scored 48 goals in the top flight. Piatti expands a lead in which Boyé, Carrillo, Pere Milla and Nino are already there. It is the second signing that Elche incorporates after the market closes and will arrive in the city tomorrow.

“Piatti is an experienced player who comes to add”

Elche coach Fran Escribá said this afternoon that the club's new signing, Argentine Pablo Piatti, He is a player who will bring experience and who comes to join the team in the final stretch of the season.

“The news has been a joy”, said Escribá, who assured that he had not carried out “no request” to the club owner, Argentine Christian Bragarnik, in their meeting this week.

“I already said that if there was any option to sign for me it would be fantastic“, clarified the coach, who guaranteed that Piatti, with experience in teams like Almería, Valencia and Espanyol, “It will adapt in five minutes.”

The Elche coach said he knew the forward personally, which he described as “a ten on a human level.”
