The board of directors of the Elche CF has issued an official statement this Sunday in which he asks for an immediate solution for the phase of promotion to First and charges against Fuenlabrada, whom he accuses of having maintained a negligent attitude, bordering on intent and obstructing the investigation of the case.

The illicit club explains in the note that there is a “clear prejudice” as a consequence of the lack of definition in which is the competition, which affects the present of the team, because the team does not know when it will compete, “as for the sports planning of the next season.”

Elche recalls that in addition to its team there are three other victims, the others classified for the promotion phase, “seriously affected, who the health of your workforce is being put at risk, “training without knowing the date to compete, and increasing the risk to which he is exposed every day”.

For the illicit entity, “it cannot be that the offender is the main beneficiary”, in clear reference to Fuenlabrada, a team that suffered the outbreak of coronavirus in its dressing room hours before the start of the last day of the championship.

Elche CF's lawyer and adviser, Julio César Giner, denounced suspicious movements from the outset in favor of Fuenlabrada to avoid the possible sanction of the Madrid team and to be able to define once again the qualifying rounds for promotion to Primera.
