El Rayo qualifies as “irrational” the proposed sanction of € 60,001

Rayo Vallecano has described the proposed anti-violence sanction as “irrational” made public this Friday morning and has claimed that his “legal department is already working to clarify and demonstrate the truth of what happened “. In addition, the franjirroja entity has announced that next week it will call a press conference to discuss this matter, through its Twitter account.

That has been the official response to the Anti-Violence statement, in which it proposed a fine of 60,001 euros to Lightning for that match against Albacete suspended on December 15 because of the chants and banners against Zozulia. That sanction proposal was pending and the situation has been described as “very serious” by the Permanent Commission, which has argued that there were “deficiencies in the spectator access control measures” and “in allowing the introduction of four banners of large dimensions without having previously informed the Security Coordinator “.

Here, the full statement of Anti-Violence:

“The Permanent Commission of the State Commission against Violence, Racism, Xenophobia and Intolerance in Sports, meeting at the headquarters of the Higher Sports Council (CSD) because it is in turn corresponding to the presidency of said collegiate body, held yesterday the second meeting corresponding to the 2020-2021 season.

The Permanent Commission, after studying various matters that are within its competence, has addressed a sanction proposal that was pending resolution since last season in relation to the Rayo Vallecano-Albacete match, held on December 15, 2019. In this sense, The Permanent Commission has agreed to propose a fine for the Rayo Vallecano club in Madrid of 60,001 euros, due to its classification as 'very serious', due to the deficiencies registered in said meeting in relation to the access control measures for spectators and Failure to follow the regulations of the governmental authorities by allowing the introduction and display, in different phases of the first part of the meeting, of four banners of large dimensions without having previously informed the Security Coordinator and not providing the certificates of being made with fireproof materials.

The State Commission against Violence, Racism, Xenophobia and Intolerance in Sports, through periodic meetings of its Permanent Commission throughout the season, is in charge of studying and, where appropriate, raising the sanction proposals in relation to incidents that may have occurred within state-wide sports competitions.
