‘El Periódico’: Barça-Koeman agreement for the settlement of the contract

Green light for Koeman’s settlement. Barcelona and the Dutch coach’s lawyers have reached an agreement to terminate the contract of the former Barça coach. As reported by El Periódico de Catalunya ‘, The Barça team will pay the 10 million euros that correspond to it for its link to Barcelona until June 2022.

Thus, Barça saves two million euros, since Koeman demanded from the Barça team the € 12 million that he had agreed with the entity at the signing of the contract in the event of dismissal. The payment of this amount, as reported by ‘El Periódico de Catalunya’, will be made before the end of the year as Barcelona has promised Koeman’s lawyers.

This agreement comes a month after the sudden dismissal of the Dutch coach after the blushing defeat against Rayo Vallecano. After several days of intense negotiation, in which Barça dropped its offer to terminate, Koeman finally yielded with the intention that the matter would not be delayed in time and he no longer has any connection with the Barcelona team.
