“Eight hours locked up in a restaurant”: Massú's story after the Vienna shooting

A shooting in the last hours in Vienna has shocked the world. According to the authorities of that city of Austria, there are already at least 15 injured and even, various authorities of that country, they have already described the event as a “terrorist attack”. Very close to the shooting was Nicolás Massú. The Chilean Davis Cup captain was locked up in a restaurant for eight hours as a precaution.

“Hello people. I am in the center of Vienna very close to the attack and they have us inside a restaurant waiting until we see when we can leave here … thank you for your messages,” the double Olympic medalist in Athens wrote at 19.16 in Chile 2004 and current coach of Dominic Thiem, 3rd in the world.

Last week, 'Nico's' pupil played the ATP 500 in Vienna and now preferred not to play the Masters 1000 in Paris-Bercy in order to physically get to the Masters Tournament in London.

At 22:20 in Chile, Massú calmed his followers. “Hello everyone … I am now in the Hotel calm and well after a very big scare. We were locked up in the restaurant for 8 hours. Thank you again for your messages of concern. ”
