MADRID, 26 Mar. (EUROPA PRESS) –
Eibar confirmed their status as leaders in LaLiga SmartBank this Saturday after beating Lugo (1-0) in a match corresponding to matchday 33, thanks to a solitary goal from Fran Sol with 25 minutes to go, while Oviedo thrashed Fuenlabrada (3-0) and caresses the ‘playoff’.
In Ipurua, Gaizka Garitano’s team added their third consecutive win at home with a single goal that came after a great play by Stoichkov that culminated in Fran Sol with a shot from close range. The target was enough to consolidate the gunsmith leadership and to stop the streak of the Galicians, who had not lost for more than a month.
In addition, Real Oviedo had no problem getting rid of ‘Fuenla’ at the Carlos Tartiere. The pupils of ‘Cuco’ Ziganda won with goals from Dani Calvo, Samuel Obeng and Javi Mier, leaving the Asturian team with 48 points, 3 behind Girona in the absence of the Catalans visiting difficult Almería this Sunday.
For their part, Ibiza and Cartagena took a step back in their quest to get into the top six, although they are still very close to the ‘playoff’ with nine days remaining for the end of the championship. Paco Jémez’s team did not go beyond a draw against Real Sociedad B (2-2) in a duel with many alternatives that Ander Martín decided in stoppage time.
The ‘txuri urdin’ player, who scored the first of his own after three minutes, was the great protagonist of a match that had Christian Herrera and Álvaro Jiménez as scorers for the pitiusos. The tie leaves Ibiza seven points from promotion and does not remove ‘Sanse’ -by very little- from relegation.
In El Molinón, Efesé suffered a good romp at the hands of a Sporting that breathes based on goals (4-1) and won its first victory this Saturday since José Luis Martí took over the bench. A brace from Djurdjevic, one of them from a penalty, Pedro Díaz and Delmás, an own goal, were the rojiblancos’ scorers. Sporting is eight points above relegation and Cartagena, five from the ‘playoff’.
