The Colombian surgeon’s family is devastated after Edwin’s death at the hands of Daniel Sancho, as he himself has confessed to the Thai police. Arrieta’s sister has broken her silence this Monday and asks that the full weight of justice fall on the son of Rodolfo Sancho: “That the Thai justice do justice to my brother and that the sentence imposed on him be the maximum and that it be paid in Thailand.”

And he liked to meet people to travel, I mean, that was his dream. That was what Edwin was, but nothing of what that man is saying. My brother was a great man, a man with a noble heart, and a generous heart, an excellent son and an excellent brother, uncle and friend, an excellent professional”, he said emphatically. “And that he doesn’t keep getting muddy and dirtying my brother’s name because he can’t defend himself. Only God can defend him.”

And it is that, according to Daniel Sancho’s statement to the Thai police, Edwin overwhelmed and harassed him to have sex with him. He has also assured that he had threatened to publish intimate photographs of both of them on social networks to cause a scandal in the Spanish media, knowing the popularity of his family: “He forced me to do things that I never thought I could do. forced me to break up with my girlfriend and threatened my family.”
