Dybala reappears and gives a point to Juve against Inter (1-1)

Inter and Juventus drew (1-1) in an intense ‘Italian derby’. The point does not satisfy any of the other teams since they could not get close to the leader Naples, but it is a lesser evil for the ‘bianconeri’, who saw their streak of six straight wins in all competitions truncated, but avoided defeat in the 89th minute thanks to a penalty converted by the reappeared Paulo Dybala.

The diatancias remain at the top of Serie A since, after Napoli 0-0 against Roma, Inter remains third, 7 points behind the head after the hit of the previous day against Lazio (3-1 ), while Juve climbs one place and is sixth to one point behind fourth, Roma.

Bernardeschi is injured and marks Dzeko

Juve started well with a double chance by Álvaro Morata and Alex Sandro that frustrated goalkeeper Samir Handanovic (7 ‘), but the game turned uphill in a fateful minute.

In a fight for a ball in attack he lost Federico Bernardeschi by injuring his right shoulder and seconds later Inter scored. Hakan Çalhanoglu took a spectacular first-time shot that crashed into the crossbar and, in the rebound, Edin Dzeko brought the ball into the net from empty goal (7 ‘). It is the seventh goal for the veteran Bosnian forward, only surpassed by the eight from Ciro Immobile.

Inter, dominator

Inter, led by an omnipresent Marcelo Brozovic, dominated the situation with greater control of the ball, greater offensive ambition despite not having clear chances and, well placed on the field, did not allow Juve to maneuver either.

Massimiliano Allegri cemented the ‘bianconera’ reaction on defensive strength, scoring six wins between Serie A and the Champions League, the last four 1-0, hence this time he had to row against the tide.

Dybala and Chiesa enter

But Juve’s offensive production was scarce until Allegri decided to introduce a double change in the 65th minute. He kept Morata on the field and was supported by Paulo Dybala, who entered through Juan Cuadrado and reappeared after being absent. due to a muscle injury since September 26, and Federico Chiesa, relegated today by surprise to the substitution before relieving Dejan Kulusevski.

With the changes Allegri decidedly bet on the goal. Dybala gave Juve another rhythm and forced Handanvic to intervene on a free kick. Arthur Melo came in in the dying moments and, when it seemed that he was not going to find his way to an equalizer, the VAR awarded him a penalty in the 89th minute for an unnecessary kick from Denzel Dumfries to Alex Sandro and Dybala converted the shot. Simone Inzaghi, Inter coach, was sent off for protesting.
