Dybala opens the triumph of Juventus but does not celebrate it

Juventus have followed the irregular line of their game since the start of the season, but today they maintained their good run of results in Serie A and, after defeating Udinese 2-0, caught up with Atalanta in fourth place, the last they have to the Champions League, before the team from Bergamo hosts leader Inter tomorrow.

Juventus, who have gone eight games without losing, scored early after a great action that Dybala finished off. Arthur put a ball to Moise Kean, who extended with quality leaving only the Argentine, who beat Daniele Padelli with a perfect definition (19′).

Message to the box

Dybala, a substitute on Wednesday in the Super Cup lost to Inter (2-1), did not celebrate the goal and turned his gaze to the box. It was his way of responding to the board and showing his disagreement with the brake on the negotiations he was holding to renew the contract that expires in June.

Juventus completely dominated the first half at will with long possessions. Dybala, highly motivated, was by far his best player in this part of the game as he perfectly interpreted what his team needed at all times and his involvement was maximum.

Deulofeu leaves and sentences McKennie

But after the break, Juve offered their other face, they suffered one of those disconnections that have led them to lose a multitude of points this season. Udinese, guided by a Gerard Deulofeu who showed his anger when coach Gabriele Cioffi replaced him in the 66th minute, went to his beard, created danger although he did not put Wojciech Szczesny in trouble.

Now without Deulofeu, Udinese stopped worrying in attack and, after Massimiliano Allegri brought on Álvaro Morata, Weston McKennie sentenced in the 79th minute by finishing off Mattia De Sciglio’s perfect cross with an impeccable header.

Juventus: Szczesny; Cuadrado, De Ligt, Rugani, Luca Pellegrini (De Sciglio, 57′); Kulusevski (Bernardeschi, 46′), Arthur (Locatelli, 46′), Bentancur (Rabiot, 82′), McKennie; Dybala y Kean (Morata, 64′)
Udinese: Padelli; Neuhén Pérez, Nuytinck, Zeegelaar; Soppy (Success, 81 ‘), Arslan (Samardzic, 85’), Walace (Jajalo, 81 ‘), Makengo, Udogie; Beto y Deulofeu (Pussetto, 66 ‘)
Goals: 1-0 Dybala (19 ‘), 2-0 McKennie (79’)
Referee: Antonio Giua. Yellow cards for Arthur (23′), Soppy (34′), Zeegelaar (77′)
Spectators: 5,000 at Juventus Stadium
