Drill in Di Stéfano thinking about the visit of Eibar

The players of the Real Madrid held this Saturday at the stadium Alfredo Di Stéfano a full-blown rehearsal that started at 7:30 p.m., the same time they will be measured next Sunday at Eibar in Valdebebas, on the return to the closed door of LaLiga Santander after the break by the coronvarius pandemic.

Zidane's pupils played a game that they took very seriously and in which they wore the competition kits, the white and the green. It was a drill with a view to the nearby visit of the gunsmiths to adapt to the climatic conditions, as well as the new lighting and the dimensions of Di Stéfano, which are the same as those of a Santiago Bernabeu which continues at full capacity with its renovation works.

The players rest this Sunday

The merengue team exercised for the sixth consecutive day without any mishap for the footballers and with good feelings from all the players, who will have rest this Sunday. On Monday they will train again in match week after three months without competing.

Zidane, who is taking care of all the details facing the imminent return of the competition, it only has the loss for striker injury
Luka Jovic, who is recovering from the extraarticular fracture in the calcaneus bone of the right foot that he suffered on May 8. He still has, according to the estimate made when the type of injury he suffered was known, half a month to train again with the rest of his companions.

Asensio already competes with total normality

One of the footballers who have benefited from the break due to the coronavirus has been Marco Asensio, already recovered from the serious injury to the anterior cruciate ligament and the external meniscus of the left knee that he suffered during a preseason friendly against the Arsenal. This Saturday he played the training match, more than 10 months later.

In addition, the Majorcan footballer was part of the winning team, as he shared on his official Twitter profile along with a photo with his teammates. Eleven consisted of Courtois; Carvajal, Varane, Nacho, Mendy; Kroos, Modric, James, Reinier; Asensio and Benzema. Before the game organized by the coaching staff, the footballers did physical toning exercises.

To the Real Madrid they have six games left at home in this league and they will all be played at Di Stéfano. It will be against Eibar, Valencia, Mallorca, Getafe, Alavés and Villarreal. Currently, whites are second in the table, two points from the lead that FC Barcelona holds when there are 11 games remaining to finish the championship that was interrupted three months ago by the Covid-19 crisis.
