Double win by the U-20 against Costa Rica, host of the World Cup

The U-20 women's team closed their friendlies in Costa Rica with a double win that will host the next World Cup of the category. Pedro López's ensemble was part of the acts that were carried out in the American country as part of the commemorative activities for the Bicentennial of the country's Independence. Both games were played at the National Stadium and ended with a 0-9 aggregate for La Rojita (0-5 and 0-4) and with the Sevillista Inma Gabarro with four goals between both duels as the protagonist of the selection.

Together with the pupils of Pedro López, the Spanish delegation was made up of Albert Luque, advisor to the Presidency of the RFEF; and María Tato, director of the Women's Soccer Department. Together with them, were present the Secretary of State for Sports, José Manuel Franco in several days of activities with women's football as the center of them. Spain, in addition, gave good feelings in the friends before the World Cup event in which La Rojita wants to continue making history after hanging the silver medal in the last edition in French Brittany.

La Rojita beat Costa Rica 0-5 in the first game. A match in which the superiority of the Spanish women was evident. In fact, Inma Gabarro put the game very expensive with a double in seven minutes that left the Costa Ricans touched. Although the dominance was Spanish, the win was not forged until the second half when Julia Bartel, Bruna Vilamala and Mirari closed the hand in the first friendly duel. Pedro López took the opportunity to give minutes to practically all his players.

The second match ended with another win, 0-4. With a defense of five, the Ticas managed to contain the onslaught of La Rojita who came to rest with a goalless emapte. Until Bruna appeared con a great individual play to open the scoring. Great goal from the Barcelona player that served to open the can. Ornella, with another goal, put land in the middle. The same Barcelona B footballer assisted Inma Gabarro to make the third. The Sevilla player also appeared to close the win with the fourth in a one on one.
