“Don’t forget why you are here”

Juan Carlos I visited this Friday afternoon at Princess Eleanor at the Marín Naval School, where the heir to the throne entered on August 29. One day after the visit, what the emeritus king said to Leonor during their reunion has come to light.

“Don’t forget why you are here“, said the former Head of State to the heiress, as revealed this Saturday from Fiesta. Before meeting his granddaughter again, Don Juan Carlos met with Felipe VI in the school director’s office and they had a private conversation. While the monarch and the emeritus were in the private meeting, Letizia went to look for Leonor and they toured the facilities together, enjoying a chat.

After the meeting, Don Felipe and Doña Letizia attended a private dinner to mark the 40th anniversary of the flag oath of the promotion of the King’s Navy. This Saturday, taking advantage of the fact that they are still in Galician lands, the monarch and the consort went out to eat in Marín with Princess Leonor.

This reunion and the subsequent outings through Marín come just a couple of days after the publication of the images of Juan Carlos I with Bárbara Rey in a very affectionate attitude. The snapshots were taken in 1994, but have been published by the Dutch magazine Private last Wednesday.
