Don Juan Carlos will travel to Paris to accompany Vargas Llosa on a very special day

The emeritus will leave his golden retreat in Abu Dhabi on February 9 and will pack his bags to spend a few days in Paris. The reason? The great friend of him, Mario Vargas Llosahas invited him to the access ceremony to the French Academy, an act of special importance for the Nobel (first Latin American to get it) and that Don Juan Carlos not willing to miss out.

He will not come alone, because the list of confirmed guests also includes the infanta elenaas Vargas Llosa himself has revealed in The country. Thus, father and daughter will reappear together after being seen during the funeral of Constantine of Greece, on January 16, in which it became clear that the emeritus’ health and mobility problems have worsened at 85 years of age.

The friendship between Don Juan Carlos and Isabel Preysler’s ex-boyfriend dates back several decades. Later, in 2011, the father of Felipe VI created the Marquesate of Vargas Llosaa noble title to recognize the cultural work of the writer, who was also honored with a Prince of Asturias Award for Literature (1986) and a Cervantes Award (1994).
