MADRID, 15 Feb. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The fifth edition of the Lanzarote International Regatta has played this Saturday in Marina Rubicón its first tests in the 49er Olympic class, with the Dominik Buksak and Adam Gogrowski Poles, putting leaders and with Conrad Konitzer with Antonio Torrado being the best Spanish crew thanks to their fifth position.
With good sun navigation conditions and 18 wind knots, four very fast and technical regattas were lived. Thus, Buksak and Gogowski achieved four partial podiums: two first positions, a second and a third, which was their discard and therefore the general headed, followed by Americans Andrew Mollerus and Trevor Bornroth.
Konitzer (CN Arenal) and Torrado (RCN Torrevieja) signed a third place and a second in the penultimate and last proof of the day, respectively, erecting as the best Spaniards and occupying the fifth provisional square. “We are happy with the line we have followed today,” Konitzer told the organization of the event.
“Above all we have tried what we have been training lately. This is a regatta that is very good for our goals this year and there are very good people here, who go fast, which is a good reference to see how we are “said the Mallorcan athlete.
His partner stressed that Lanzarote “always complies, we can always navigate and above all it is a complex regatt field that has allowed us to see how we develop and get a list of tasks for the following regattas.” “It’s a spectacular site,” Torrado added.
The Spanish pre -Olympic team of 49er, of which they are part, has been training in Lanzarote for some time. “Unlike many other sites in Europe, here we can navigate every day we have planned and especially with temperatures that allow us to extend the days, to throw many hours in the water,” they finally agreed on their words.
