Djokovic will play the Australian Open and Serena resigns

Novak Djokovic will play the 2022 Australian Open from January 17-30 in Melbourne … barring a last minute surprise. Among the top ten also appears Paula Badosa in position eight, which ensures that the Catalan tennis player will be another of the outstanding seeds of the women’s team of the Australian Open, ahead of players like Naomi Osaka, Elina Svitolina, Emma Raducanu, Simona Halep or the Olympic champion Belinda Bencic.

The great absence in the list of the women’s team of the Australian Open is the absence of Serena Williams, who is not registered and whose presence in the tournament seems ruled out for this reason.
