Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic minimized with an unstoppable service to Japanese Yoshihito Nishioka, who arrived in a good shape to the game, won by a forceful 6-3, 6-2 and 6-2, and will face the Argentine Diego Schwartzman in the round of 16 of the Australian Open.

“I wanted to thank how well I got my coach today,” said the Serbian after his pass to the knockout stages after giving just two points to the service in the first two sets.

With the same solvency as against the Japanese, and more accessible, Tatsuma Ito, the Belgrade tennis player extended to twenty the number of consecutive games won against left-handed opponents in Grand Slam.

The last left-hander to defeat the Serbian was the Spanish Rafael Nadal in the 2014 Roland Garros final, when the Balearic won 3-6, 7-5, 6-2 and 6-4.

In addition, the Serbian sealed after his victory against the Asian on the track Rod Laver Arena his fiftieth pass to the knockout stages in a 'major' competition.
