Djokovic extends his lead with Medvedev and Nadal before Roland Garros

Novak Djokovic arrives with renewed spirits at Roland Garros. After a very doubtful season on clay in which he has gone from less to more, the Serbian arrives at the Parisian Grand Slam after to have been a finalist in Rome and to have been champion before his public in Belgrade in his last test before flying to Paris.

Precisely the title in Belgrade has allowed Djokovic to further expand the advantage with his pursuers in the ATP ranking, where the Serbian already has 323 at the top of the classification and continues to extend his record. Djokovic adds 11,313 points this week after the 250 achieved in Belgrade and he is just over 2,500 ahead of Daniil Medvedev, second with 9,793, and by almost 2,700 over Rafa Nadal, third with 9,630.

Djokovic's increased distance is the only notable development this week in a Top-10 in which Dominic Thiem, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Alexander Zverev, Andrey Rublev, Roger Federer, Matteo Berrettini and Diego Schwartzman remain, and of which the Spaniards Roberto Bautista and Pablo Carreño follow at the gates.

Korda and Cecchinato, the biggest climbs of the week; Alcaraz resists in the Top-100

The big rises in the ranking this week are starred by two of the great figures of the Emilia Romaña Open. Sebastian Korda, tournament champion, rises 13 positions to 50 with 1,289, while Marco Cecchinato, tournament finalist, rises 21 positions up to 83 with 903 points.

In the Top-100 of this week's ranking, Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz also remains one more week, although this time it falls to position 97 instead of the 94 it occupied last week with 815 points. A Top-100 to which Fernando Verdasco returns, which this week appears in position 99 with 795 points.
