Dilemma for Málaga: How many people will be able to enter La Rosaleda?

The meetings and telematic contacts between the Junta de Andalucía and the six First and Second teams of this community (Seville, Betis, Cádiz, Granada, Málaga and Almería) have left a disturbing beginning of conclusion for the clubs involved. The Andalusian government only allows 25% of the capacity to be covered for soccer fields and 50% on basketball courts.

This means that La Rosaleda, which has an official capacity of 30,044 spectators, could only accommodate 7,500. A problem that affects the way a club should approach its subscriber campaign. Málaga, for this reason, works on various stages.

All this is conditioned by the evolution of the pandemic. Some municipalities in the Malaga province have had to apply curfews between 2 and 7 in the morning due to the increase in cases of coronavirus. Malaga capital has been spared for the moment, but it is on the wire and in fact, the emblematic Fair is suspended for the second year. The situation is not simple.

Malaga for the moment, has not made a decision. But the doubts are many. If, finally, only 7,500 can enter, the following questions arise. Which 7,500 fans will be able to enter the stadium? What criteria can be followed? If Malaga has 14,000 fans willing to renew their season ticket, How can those who cannot access the Malaguista temple be compensated? And another thing. Is it worth opening La Rosaleda just for 7,500 people? Many issues.

José María Muñoz defended, with the agreement of the rest of the clubs, to be able to complete capacity in its entirety, that is, 100% 100, but with two premises: everyone had to prove that they were vaccinated or immunized with the COVID passport and mandatory mask.

Next Sunday the 7th, Málaga will play its presentation match at La Rosaleda against Tenerife. It will be an interesting framework to corroborate subsequent protocols.

Peybernes, official in hours

On the other hand, Málaga hopes to announce the signing of the French central defender in the next few hours. Peybernes, that he has an agreement with Malaga for two seasons. The news was advanced by La Voz de Almería and confirmed by this means. Malaga is also working on the search for a striker to score.
