Diego Schwartzman, a new debutant in the ATP Finals, assured in a talk with the media that he dreams of “playing the final” of the tournament that begins this Sunday.

The Argentine was the last to qualify for what will be the first ATP Finals of his career and will join a cast of tennis players including Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Daniil Medvedev, Dominic Thiem, Andrey Rublev and Alexander Zverev.

“For dreaming, I dream of playing the final. Later, we are going to see the group and I think it will be important to win the first game. Because of how the scores are, winning that game can give you the opportunity to go to the semifinals and it is the first goal I have “Schwartzman said.

The Buenos Aires native will become the eighth Argentine tennis player to participate in this tournament in London, joining illustrious names such as David Nalbandian, Juan Martín del Potro and Guillermo Vilas.
