The Argentinian Diego Milito, former player of Inter de Milan, among others, assured this Tuesday that his compatriot Lautaro Martinez, a forward for the Interista team, “is extraordinary” and he loves his “scoring nose.”
“He is extraordinary and he is showing it. A little time ago he said that he had to improve in the management of the yellow cards and he has achieved it. I like his ability to be inside the area, his scoring nose,” Milito said in an interview published this Tuesday in the paper version of the Italian newspaper ‘La Gazzetta dello Sport’.
“He has a good character, a good attitude and commitment in his work. He does not have to miss the opportunity to grow up with (the Belgian, Romelu Lukaku. I feel that the Belgian improves the players who are by his side.” added.
Lautaro, who has ten goals this season with Inter after signing 21 last season, will lead the Inter forward this Tuesday in the Italian derby against Juventus, corresponding to the first leg of the Italian Cup semifinals.
The “Bull” will star in a particular duel with the Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo, leader of the Juventine team, who according to Milito found an ideal partner in the Spanish Álvaro Morata.
“What to say about Cristiano? He found an ideal partner in Morata. I like Álvaro, he's a striker who knows how to do many things, he doesn't just think about the goal,” he said.
He also praised the Swede Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who is being the protagonist of an excellent performance with Milan at 39 years old.
“I don't understand why those who attack Serie A take as an example the fact that Ibrahimovic continues to score in that league at the age of 39. 'Ibra' is simply a champion who has known how to take care of his body in the best way,” he considered.
Milito, who scored 75 goals in his career at Inter and won six trophies, a Champions League, a Serie A, two Italian Cups, an Italian Super Cup and a Club World Cup, did not exclude returning to the Milanese club as a manager in a future.
“At the moment I enjoy the holidays and my family. Then you never know,” he said.
