Diego Martínez: “In every game we do bobbin lace”

Granada coach Diego Martínez said after the draw achieved this Monday by his team (2-2) in the Real Betis field, they have to do “bobbin lace before, during and after” each match.

“Winning in this category is the hell and getting a point in a field like this and against such a difficult team is to put in value,” said Diego Martinez after the crash at a telematic press conference.

The coach pointed out that in the first half they defended “well” although they suffered “at times with their shots” and that in the second they had “great attention and organization” until the penalty kick came for the locals.

Regarding this penalty, he commented that “it is very difficult to referee and for that there is a referee and VAR.”

“To me it seems too little to be a penalty but if he has whistled it is because they have seen it clearly, and I understand that here at the end of the season many penalties are going to be whistled because such contacts are very common,” he said.

Diego Martínez highlighted the “four points added to six” against Getafe and Betis, the “ability” of his team to go for the draw after 2-1 and the good role of the footballers who entered the starting eleven by the many low.

“Continuing to row in the face of adversity is one of our hallmarks and we do it from today's line-up due to the casualties. In every game we do bobbin lace before, during and after the crash,” he stressed.
