MADRID, 28 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) –
Palmeiras conquered the Copa Libertadores this Saturday by beating (2-1) in extra time the fellow Brazilian Flamengo, thanks to the steal and goal by Deyverson Silva in the final in Montevideo.
The ex from Levante, Getafe and Alavés in the Spanish League smelled the blood and went to bite the rival defender at the start of extra time. The action had its reward with the victory goal for the defending champion, who revalidated the title won in January from Santos.
The Brazilian team repeats Libertadores as Boca Juniors had done for the last time in 2000 and 2001. The final got exciting with Raphael Veiga’s 1-0 at five minutes. Gabriel Barbosa made the tie already in the final stretch, in a good second part of Flamengo, until an extension with Deyverson as the hero.
