Dest, nominated for soccer player of the year in the United States

Barça announced through its official website this Thursday that the United States Soccer Federation announced the list of nominated players to the award that accredits the best American footballer of the year. In it is the Barça player, Sergiño Dest, With Tyler adams (RB Leipzig), Weston McKennie (Juventus), Jordan morris (Seattle Sounders), Christian pulisic (Chelsea) and Gyasi zardes (Columbus Crew).

Dest, according to the official page of Barça, he already won the award for the best young man in 2019. Pulisic is the only finalist who has won the award before (2017 and 2019). McKennie Y Morris are nominated for the third time, and Adams Y Zardes they are competing for the award a second time.

The voting of the prizes, always according to Barça, begins this December 10 and closes on December 16. The winners will be announced on Friday 18 of the same month. Vote the respective coaches of the national team, players of the national team who have played at least one game in 2020, members of the board of directors of soccer players in the United States, Athletes Council US soccer, coaches Major League Soccer Leagues (MLS and USL), members of media and former players and administrators.
